Announcements:
Reminder: Geometry notebook extra credit points are added to 1) the final exam score and then (if any left over) 2) older team or individual assessments from throughout Semester 2.
MAKE SURE TO ATTEND OUR FREE MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY AFTER-SCHOOL TUTORIALS IN ROOM 57.
-Remember daily points are worth 10 per day, 5 for the day's text assignment and 5 for the journal pages (2 per day).
Reminder of no-phone policy: Phones must be powered down whenever in math class.
Grades are comprised of 80% test scores, 20% assignment scores, as per math department policy.
In order to succeed in this class, you must commit to investing at least one hour per day outside of class to review and practice all current concepts, make sure you understand the concepts, and ask questions when you don't understand. If you struggle with math, you must advocate for yourself and attend our free after-school tutorials (Mon. and Wed. 3:10-4:10, Rm. 57), invest extra time each evening to practicing the concepts, and seeking help from an outside tutor if needed. You need to understand the concepts from Math 1 in order to succeed in Math 2 next year, and Math 3 the following year.
Teacher is available at break and immediately after school for additional help.

We are now moving into the Geometry portion of Integrated Math 1. You will need a 1-subject spiral notebook in order to build a GEOMETRY NOTEBOOK, which will be your toolkit for terms, concepts, postulates, theorems, and formulas you will need to work through Geometry tasks and build upcoming proofs. This notebook stays at home and requires about 15 minutes per day to jot down the day's highlighted or important (boxed) concepts from each section of the text. At the end of Semester 2, you will turn in this notebook (Ch. 8-12) for credit. You will build on this next year in Math 2 and the following year in Math 3.
