Graphing Calculator Instructions--
To find Standard Deviation on T1-84:
1) STAT button, 1 Edit, then ENTER
2) Type in each data value in L1 column, pressing ENTER after each value
3) STAT button again, then CALC, 1:1 VAR STATs, ENTER
4) Press CALCULATE
To Clear Memory:
2nd, MEM, 2 ENTER, then 1 ENTER
For Lines of Best Fit:
1) First, make two lists by pressing STAT button (once), then ENTER
2)Enter L1 (for the x values), then L2 (for the y values), pressing ENTER after each value is entered
3)Press the "2nd" button then "Y=" for STATPLOT
4) While flashing over "On" press enter for L1 and L2
5) Press GRAPH...if a graph does not show, you need to change the resolutions by pressing the WINDOW button at the top, so the screen can accommodate the data. Remember to leave a slight cushion between the values.
Press GRAPH again...you should now see a scatterplot.
6) For the Line of Best Fit, enter STAT, then CALC, the #4 LinReg. Next press "2nd" and #1, then 2nd and #2 button. Scroll down to CALCULATE, then ENTER.
7) Finally, press "Y=" button, then VARS, then scroll down to #5 Statistics. Scroll right to EQ, then Reg1 and ENTER, then GRAPH. You should now see your Line of Best Fit over the scatterplot.
